From the start, Amour always seems to be shifting and transforming as hidden facets are brought into view and then as quickly as they appeared, they recede into the background.
The transition into the fragrance’s heart is seamless, as the rosy aspects of geranium slowly yield to the crimson depths of the majestic Turkish rose, a trio of shadows rise from the depths to meet its brilliance, balancing the floral richness of rose with robust baritone chorus of woods. Oudh imbues the fragrance with an immense complexity; its aroma is unlike any that of any other raw material, variously described as spicy, woody, earthy and leathery. A leather accord provides a sultry, luxurious warmth to the fragrance. Finally, the aromatic, almost incense-like aroma of cypriol envelopes the whole of the composition in wispy ribbons of smoke.
